Fine. This is D-GX. The Drift-Grip Experiment.
[Kyuzo: Should it be... I dunno, DD-GX? I mean, she's the only one gripping around...]
[Nekomi: *sticks tongue out* As if... DD-GX sucks.]
Yeah... As she said, I grip the corners... Mostly anyway... And these two drift like crazy. In fact, I don't know how they even afford their tyres... Well, Kyuzo, I see, but Neko-
[Nekomi: Oi! No bashing!]
[Kyuzo: Actually, she does have a point... We burn our tires a lot more... Hey, maybe...]
[Nekomi: Shut it! Turncoat! Who cares?! Drift is the best!]
Right... Anyway. We met only recently and since we all drive the same car, only different generations of it, and we were all racers, we decided on forming a team. Those were the two drifters, if you haven't caught onto that yet.
[Ayase: *beats on her bongo drums* I sense dissension...]
Uhuh... That was Ayase. She's our mechanic. And chef. And the one who brings out her drums... like whenever...
[Eichiro: What about me?!]
Him too. Eichi-kun's our second mechanic.
[Eichiro: *pout* Wow... Jeez, why do I get the one-liner?]
He has a nice car though. A totally hot one. *nods*

Kyuzo Fukushiba
a.k.a. Kyu-kun, 'The Tsukuba Flashback'
Racer: Downhill Specialist
Age: 24
Car: MX5 NA, Laguna Blue
Kyu-kun is the fruity, ever-so-lovably team flirt who makes it his business to scare the living daylights out of, ehem, flirt with any cute male member of the opposing team. He insists that he's the official PRO of the team, as well as the team stylist...and his attempts at 'styling' often have members wanting to rip his head off. However, he makes up for it with his downhill drift and his sparkling personality...which allots for the "nickname" given to him by his teammates. After all, a flashy blue car downhilling ahead of you is pretty hard to miss, especially if its driver has ever-changing highlights.

Yuzuki Kamaji
a.k.a. Yu-chan, 'The Firefly'
Racer: Uphill-Downhill
Age: 24
Car: MX5 NC or RX8 SE, both Black
Yuchan is the Gripping advocate who is rarely (if ever) flustered or annoyed. Her cool head and ability to function under pressure make her the ideal wildcard, seeing as she can do uphill one day and downhill the next, which accounts for why she is the only team member to have an OFFICIAL racing nickname. Aside from that, Yu-chan has the added responsibility of seeing to the mental health of the DGX members...in a word: Shrink. Seeing as she has a fruitcake and a brat on her team, Yu-chan sure has her hands full. But she manages...how, we don't know.

Nekomi Takazawa
a.k.a. Ne-chan, 'The Red Rose of Hananuki'
Racer: All-Weather Specialist
Age: 12-ehem-22
Car: MX5 NB, Titanium Gray; Toyota MR2, Silver
Ne-chan is the youngest member of team DGX and an OBSESSIVE drifting advocate. Out of the driver's seat Ne-chan is prone to acting a bit bratty and hot-headed, however the extra fire in her blood transitions well to the track, her all-weather adaptability keeping opponents on their toes. Her 'nickname' however is not due to any special skill, but to the design of her clip. Why she always wears that clip is a team secret. The last one who asked got kicked in the shins.

Eichiro Kobayashi
a.k.a. Ei-chan, Secret Weapon, 'Tissue-chan'
Mechanic
Age: 22
Car: Nissan Fairlady Z32, Red
Ei-chan is the somewhat easily flustered boy-next-door mechanic and Ne-chan's childhood friend (he had a bit of a crush on her too.). His team-exclusive nickname of 'Secret Weapon', though, suggests more than his role as mechanic. (We're not telling!) Poor Ei-chan is constantly having to fend off Kyu-kun's playful advances. He manages to keep sane though...even if sometimes he's prone to having blushing-induced hemorrhages. Because of this, Ne-chan awarded him the extra 'driving' nickname of 'Tissue-chan', due to the three boxes of Kleenex he keeps in his car.

Ayase Uehara
a.k.a. Ayapon
Mechanic
Age: 23
Car: Nissan Caravan DX, White
Ever the beatnik 'artist' and chef, Ayapon is the poetic and culinary genius who acts as one of the support team. She was the classmate of Kaoru Takazawa, Nekomi's sister, in cooking school and puts this knowledge to good use as the team chef on long expedition trips. Equally as good with cars as with cooking, Ayapon is an absolutely invaluable member and is often found coaching Ei-chan from time to time. Oh yeah, and she keeps a small grill and bongo drums in the van along with the spare parts. You heard me right...bongo drums.
